Description

Colomba cake has a long tradition in Italy. The speciality cake is baked in Italy and is eaten at Easter. The cake is shaped like a dove with outstretched wings.

In this version of the cake, ground turmeric gives the sourdough batter a very special flavour. The dough does not contain any candied fruit or raisins. The icing is made featuring coarse sugar and whole, crunchy almonds.
