Mustard is one of the oldest spices in the world and was used thousands of years ago by the Chinese and ancient Greeks.

The sweet, warm taste of the mustard seeds develops best in liquids. Crush the seeds, let them rest for 10 minutes and then add vinegar, oil, salt, lemon juice or herbs. Mustard seeds are also great for pickling or making chutneys and vinaigrettes.
