Description

The gluten-free Crusty Oat Bread baking mix by Bauck Mühle consists of oats and other carefully selected organic ingredients. Simply mix with water and bake in the oven to make a delicious loaf with an aromatic crust. The rustic bread with a balanced flavour is ready in no time.

Preparation:

  1. Mix the contents of the pack with 1 sachet of dry yeast and 500 ml lukewarm water using a dough hook until you get a smooth dough.
  2. With moistened hands or a dough scraper, bring the dough together in the bowl. Then tip it onto a baking tray lined with baking paper or place it in a greased loaf tin.
  3. Smooth the bread with a moistened dough scraper and shape as desired.
  4. Cover the bread and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 250 °C, top and bottom heat.
  6. Place an ovenproof bowl on the bottom of the oven. Just before placing the bread in the oven, fill the bowl with approx. 100 ml boiling water.
  7. After 10 minutes of baking, open the oven door briefly to release steam and close it again. Reduce the baking temperature to 220°C and bake for a further 50 minutes.

Tip: Dust 1-2 tbsp rice flour on the bread before baking.
