Description

Couscous is made exclusively from durum wheat. Well-known around the world as the star ingredient in couscous salad or tabbouleh, in the Middle East and North Africa couscous is a classic kitchen staple. It is added to stir-fried dishes and is used as a filling in zucchini, paprika and tomatoes. It is even used to make yummy desserts - we highly recommend trying it out!

Preparation: Bring the couscous to the boil briefly in double the amount of water and let it soak for 10 minutes. The couscous can be processed further or served immediately.

Tip: If you want to develop the nutty aroma of couscous, swirl and roast it briefly in hot butter or vegetable oil before adding water. As soon as the couscous becomes aromatic, water can be added.

Store in a cool and dry place.
