Description

The highland coffee "Maria" is a balanced and strong blend. It has the aroma of caramelised nuts such as macadamia and almonds and also brown sugar. It has low acidity and a dense crema.

The specialty roaster Dinzler (Bavaria, Germany) uses the so-called Slow Drum Roasting technique where the beans are uniformly exposed to hot air between 180 & 190°C. This gives them their unmistakable aroma.

The beans are cultivated, handpicked and processed on-site by local smallholders of the Majomut Union in the highlands of Chiapas, Mexico. In this way, the farmers receive a fair price for their product.
