Description
This oil is pressed from Koroneiki olives that have ripened under ideal conditions on the Greek peninsPeloponnesennese. The Koroneiki olive is a small, firm olive that is known for its fruitiness. This flavour makes up the basis for this tasty, fruity but not bitter olive oil.
In recent years, a small group of growers was convinced to start growing organic olives. Built under strict quality guidelines the trees grow close together at about 500m altitude. At this altitude, the fruits ripen and are stronger and tastier.
Only fully ripe olives are hand-picked, transported in baskets and taken by the farmers directly to the mill. The first cold pressing then produces the high quality olive oil.
