Description

What ginseng is for the Chinese, Lapacho is for the South Americans. The tree and the bark tea are relatively unknown in Europe, which is a shame because it is very tasty.

Lapacho tea makes a delicious hot drink in autumn. In summer, Lapacho tea is best drunk cold and in combination with fruit. Add fruit juice and strawberry, apple or mango pieces for a delightful summer punch.

Preparation:

  • To prepare a gorgeous, full tasting Lapacho tea, add 1 heaping tablespoon of the tea to water, and cook at a light boil for five minutes. Then let steep for 15 minutes.

Enjoy the slight scent of vanilla that rises from the pot! The reddish-brown Lapacho tea tastes earthy and smoky and delicious, especially with milk or cream and honey.

The Lapacho tea shimmers in a bright hazel coloiu. The subtle aroma consists of a smoky, spicy and earthy nuances. Even the pleasant taste is a combination of mildly smoky, tart and a subtle sweetness.
