Gewürze Lodner Kalahari Desert Salt

This desert salt comes from a picturesque location in the heart of the Kalahari Desert. Deep in South Africa's Karoo System flow three underground rivers. The rivers pass over a million year old rock layer that contains pure and pristine sodium chloride crystals. As the water courses through and over the old rock layer, the salt is dissolved from the rocks and flows into the protected underground riverbeds. Here the brine swells to the surface. This is then carefully dried in the sun. These underground salt deposits are the source of the Kalahari desert salt.

Kalahari desert salt is a natural and untreated. It is free of pollutants and environmental influences and is a gourmet salt. With an age of around 280-300 million year, this salt is also considered one of the oldest and most authentic earthy salts.
