It starts off with a striking sweetness, it quickly sweeps into a spicy, refreshing note that is similar to that of the famous digestif Ouza.

Anise is used to refine breads, pastries and cakes. However, Anise is quite versatile and is quite well-known in Indian cuisine. Fish dishes and alcoholic beverages also benefits from the addition of Anise.
