Recipe: Cardamom Honey Salmon

Recipe: Cardamom Honey Salmon

This recipe is great if you're craving salmon with a slightly exotic Indian-inspired flavour and a hint of honey. It tastes extraordinary and delicious.

Ingredients for 6 servings

Optional:

  • Orange peel (from unwaxed and untreated oranges)
  • Accompaniments and side dishes as desired

Total cooking time: about 25 minutes

Method

  1. Whisk together the salt, paprika, cardamom, coriander and black pepper in a bowl. Add oil and honey and stir until well combined.
  2. Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Toss the salmon pieces in the honey and spice mixture until evenly coated on all sides.
  4. Sear the salmon in the preheated skillet, 5 to 7 minutes per side, until it easily comes off the pan. Make sure the pan is not too hot to prevent the honey-spice mixture from burning.

Note: Preparing the side dishes is not part of this recipe. Depending on which side dishes you use, you have to calculate a longer cooking time or adjust the preparation accordingly.
