Mackerel in Caponata - a typical Sicilian delicacy! Caponata is a traditional Sicilian dish with a sweet and sour taste made with aubergines and tomatoes. The diced vegetables are caramelised and deglazed with vinegar. Caponata is served as antipasti, as an accompaniment to pasta or grilled fish.
