At five centuries, the Ruster Ausbruch is the oldest appellation in Austria! This was finally formalised in Austrian Wine Law in 2020 and thus the Ruster Ausbruch is the only sweet wine with DAC status (protected designation of origin).

The Triebaumers are more dedicated to their long tradition than almost any other winemaking family. Gelber Muskateller grapes are one of the winery's core competencies and if the vintage and weather permit, they create a splendid sweet wine!

Matured in a steel tank, the wine is very sweet with 220g of residual sugar. The 9.8g acid is also important! The two together result in fantastic sweetness with a piquant, explosive acidity. The result is simply delicious. Stone fruit notes and fragrant pulp are paired with delicate citrus notes and a slight minerality. It could mature successfully until 2038, but doesn't necessarily have to.

An ingenious wine with a price-performance ratio that can barely be surpassed. Pairs well with desserts such as pancakes or chocolate cake, and would be the crowning glory of a dinner for two.
