Use:
Peppers can be used as a whole fruit complete with seeds, dried or ground. Cayenne pepper plays an important part in Creole and South American cuisine and is traditionally used for some dishes in Indian and Asian cuisine. Cayenne pepper seasons fish, seafood, stews and soups.
Origins:
Cayenne pepper is obtained from the fruit of birds eye chillies. This plant originated in South and Central America. Today it is found in all tropical areas of the world.
