This organic semi-whole grain rice is an iconic product from Italy. The autochthonous rarity was discovered in 1972 by Domenico Marchetti and lovingly named "Rosa" after his wife. The grains have an elegant, pearly lustre and a fine, aromatic flavour that add an unmistakable Mediterranean character to every dish. This wild rice grows in unspoilt nature surrounded by trees and bushes and also provides a habitat for wild animals. Thanks to the sustainable cultivation method with green manure, no ploughing and no fertiliser, the soil remains intact and rich in nutrients, which preserves the natural variety of flavours in the rice.
